Guyton has had a consistent offseason, and now comes the time to ease any and all doubts over the left tackle position.

Dallas Cowboys left tackle Tyler Guyton was one player the entire fan base was watching this offseason, as there were some concerns over his play.

With Guyton being so-so since arriving in Dallas, there was a thought that the Cowboys could kick Tyler Smith out to tackle if things went south.

But after Brian Schottenheimer said there would be a battle between Guyton and Nate Thomas for the starting role, Tyler buckled up and produced a god offseason, easing those fears around him.

To be able to have the offseason he has had, Guyton had to be healthy, something that has also been a little challenging for him since arriving in Dallas.

But as the Cowboys gear up to face the New York Giants in Week 1 on Sunday night at MetLife Stadium, Guyton is fully healthy.

"Honestly, I'm blessed. I feel good," Guyton said. "I'm supported by so many good people, and I have so much love around me that I just can't be more thankful to go into the season with health and to finally complete a training camp."

But to go from the player we saw last season, who was up and down both on and off the field, to the tackle we see now, who is more consistent, something had to change.

Was it the coaching by future Hall of Famer Tyron Smith? Maybe. Was it another offseason of working with Klayton Adams and Conor Riley? Possibly.

But Tyler detailed what he did this offseason to get to the point where he is now, as the starting tackle for the Cowboys.

"I made smaller tweaks, trying to be more tough, and things like that," Guyton said. "But, honestly, it was just a good diet, working out harder, trying to do prehab instead of rehab, and just trying to check all my boxes before I get out there on the field."

Guyton has had about as good an offseason as you could hope for, if you are a Cowboys fan.

He's been healthy; he's improved, and when we have seen him in joint practices, he's done well. But now comes the true test of Guyton's improvement, and that is real NFL football.

There were question marks surrounding him entering the offseason, but now, as we are on the doorstep of Week 1, most of those questions, thankfully, might have been answered.
