The Cowboys have been one of the most hyped teams this offseason, but what does No. 4 think about the upcoming season?
Making season predictions in May is a little foolish, as so much can change quickly, but many have the Dallas Cowboys at the very least playoff-bound.
Now, that is predicated on the offense again being elite, the defense improving out of sight under Christian Parker, the Cowboys staying relatively healthy, and navigating a tough schedule.
Everyone has their own thoughts on what the 2026 Cowboys can become, but right now, it is a pure guessing game.
We have yet to see a proper practice, and even the entire roster together. That will come in the next month for mandatory minicamp.
But while everyone has their own expectations when it comes to the Cowboys, what about Dak Prescott?
When asked about his expectations at the Cowboys' annual Reliant Home Run derby, he had a typical "Dak" answer.
"My expectations are to just grow every day, grow this brotherhood, obviously build off of what we did last year," Prescott said via The Athletic's Jon Machota. "We've had a lot of changes on the defense, so allow those guys to create their identity, support them in getting them to know each other, and who they want to be.
"Super excited about the first couple of weeks, having some of the vets coming in, Rashan Gary, seeing the year two in Quinnen [Williams], Kenny [Clark] the same way, really excited for them. We're going to look to build on our side of the ball and get better. Things are looking great."
Like Dak, I am interested to see how Williams and Clark fare after a full offseason of work, plus the draftees led by Caleb Downs. How will Christian Parker's vision come to life?
That's the big one. Can the defense become competent?
The other thing is the offensive expectations.
Many think it is a foregone conclusion that the Cowboys will be as good as they were last year. But Dak had a superb year and played all 17 games, while George Pickens and Javonte Williams both had career-best seasons.
Can all of that happen again? Your guess is as good as mine.
But Dak feels good about where things are heading. Time will tell if he's right.
