The Cowboys possess two elite weapons in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, but are they the NFL's best?
The Dallas Cowboys' offense last season was one of the best in football, as Dak Prescott had weapons everywhere.
CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens formed a formidable duo that tore defenses apart routinely.
Now, with the pair running it back, and with the Cowboys also elevating Ryan Flournoy, who has had himself a superb camp, along with speedy returner/receiver KaVontae Turpin, the Cowboys' weaponry for Dak is good, great even.
Of course, we are projecting a little with Flournoy, but he proved last season that he can make plays in clutch situations on third down. So another year for Flo, and it is expected he'll be vastly improved.
But let's not get it twisted, CeeDee and George are the alphas here, but when we rank Dallas' receiver room up against the best in the NFL, where do they land?
CBS Sports' Jared Dubin has done this exercise, and for the Cowboys, they land at No. 1 on Dubin's list.
"CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens are challenging enough to deal with, ranking as our No. 2 duo in the league behind Chase and Higgins," Dubin writes. "But Ryan Flournoy showed last year that he's a real player and KaVontae Turpin is a threat as a gadget guy. The Cowboys can beat your secondary in every way imaginable."
So, Dallas' receiver room is ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals (No. 2), Minnesota Vikings (No. 3), the Detroit Lions (No. 4), and the Los Angeles Rams (No. 5).
Now, it could be a coin flip between Dallas and Cincinnati, with CeeDee and George against Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. But behind them, with Turpin and Flournoy, they are seen as better weapons than Mitch Tinsley and Cobie Young for the Bengals.
In truth, we knew that the Cowboys' weaponry was among the NFL's best, and where you have them in the top five is purely subjective.
Lamb is still an All-Pro weapon and Pickens in 2026 might turn out to be if his preseason is anything to go by, but we also know that depth is key, and with Flournoy improving and the hope that Turpin can develop into more than a gadget guy, this Dallas offense could roll in 2026.
