The Cowboys continue to add to their pass rush arsenal in the draft.
The Dallas Cowboys, after taking two defensive players in the first round of this NFL Draft, have continued that trend in the third.
With new coordinator Christian Parker's defense being a big priority, the Cowboys, with the No. 92 overall pick, selected Michigan pass rusher Jaishawn Barham.
Now, with Malachi Lawrence and Barham, the Cowboys have gotten themselves two superb athletes to go quarterback hunting.
Coming off a season for the Wolverines where he posted 10.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks, Barham comes to Dallas ready to wreak havoc.
Seen by many scouts and draft experts as an explosive edge rusher, Barham brings violence to his game, showing his ability to be multiple, having played off-ball linebacker early in his college career.
Seen as a raw prospect as a pass rusher by NFL.com's Lance Zierlein, having played a lot at linebacker in 2025, it feels like the Cowboys have the potential to deploy him in both positions under Parker.
Not a name that was really on the radar of the media and mock drafters, the Cowboys have now added three defensive players, with Barham - called by one draft guide "a hidden gem'' - being the latest.
Having traded away Micah Parsons last offseason, the Cowboys had a big need at edge and have now added two edge rushers, both of whom are explosive athletes seen as having a lot of room to grow.
In Parker's scheme, Barham looms as a fascinating prospect.

Will he be used as an off-ball linebacker? Or will he be used primarily as an edge rusher? We will likely get that answer as the offseason program begins at The Star.
Now, there is that "Michigan Curse'' thing at The Star, what with recent Wolverines Taco Charlton, Mazi Smith and Luke Schoonmaker being high picks with low production.
But ...
Needing as much defensive help as possible, the Cowboys have gone exactly how many thought they would, at least early on in the draft.
Parker's defense is now starting to take shape, with Caleb Downs seen as the player to glue everything together for the Cowboys. Now, with Lawrence and Barham, they will slot into the rotation behind Rashan Gary, Quinnen Williams, and Kenny Clark, to hopefully give the Cowboys some pass-rush juice.
Yes, Barham could be seen as a little raw, so the offseason looms as crucial for the third-round pick, but the upside is there, and Dallas is banking on its ability to get the most out of him.
