With CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, Dallas boasts one of the top duos in the NFL, but are they the best in football?
We are at the time of the offseason, where lists and rankings are flying off the shelves, and for the Dallas Cowboys, they often feature on a lot of them.
And this time, it's CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens who the focus is on.
Their first year together was a sight to behold with Pickens posting 1,429 yards and 9 TDs from 93 receptions, while Lamb managed 1, 077 yards and 3 TDs.
Both averaged over 14 yards per reception, so they were chain-movers, with Pickens the serious downfield threat, and Lamb the master on short and intermediate routes for Brian Schottenheimer.
When the trade for Pickens went through, many saw CeeDee and George as one of the better duos in football, but there was no evidence of it yet.
Well, we have it now, and the pair are expected to again be difficult to handle in 2026.
But when putting them up against other WR duos in football, where do CeeDee and George rank?
CBS Sports' Jared Dubin has them at No. 2, behind only Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Dallas' pair ranked higher than Puka Nacua/Davante Adams (No. 3), Amon-Ra St. Brown/Jameson Williams (No. 4), Justin Jefferson/Jordan Addison (No. 5).
"The two players complement each other extraordinarily well, with Lamb operating in the slot and as a movement Z receiver while Pickens is the natural X who wins on the outside and deep down the field," Dubin wrote. "If you were building the ideal receiver duo in the lab, it might look a lot like this one."
So, Dallas' duo is one of the best in football and you can't argue based off of 2025.
Yes, Lamb dealt with injuries as he played 14 games, but Pickens was the driving force last season, as he was borderline unstoppable. Whether that was on his famed slant route or Dak Prescott dialing up the launch codes for a long bomb downfield, Pickens was the guy for Dak.
But we can't forget the All-Pro in Lamb.
Last year was CeeDee's lowest yards total since his rookie season, which is surprising, and I imagine that he'll be back to his normal self this upcoming season. Even though his total yards were low, he still managed six 100-yard games.
Having battled injuries in his last two seasons, if Lamb can get back to his All-Pro level and Pickens can maintain the rage from last year, they have every chance to take the top spot next offseason.
For now, they'll have to be content with No. 2.
