Micah has faith in Dak and the Cowboys' offense in 2026.
FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys offense in 2026 is again shaping up to be one of the best in football under second-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, Javonte Williams, Ryan Flournoy and KaVontae Turpin? That is a pretty stout list of top weapons.
We know Prescott is coming off a superb 2025 season, throwing for 4,552 yards and 30 TDs while earning a Pro Bowl nod. Pickens had a career-best season, posting 1,429 yards and nine TDs, and earned his first Pro Bowl honor, while Lamb, in a so-called "down year,'' still surpassed 1,000 yards and had three TDs.
Ferguson managed to find the end zone eight times as well, and Javonte is a do-it-all back, so Cowboys Nation is right to believe there are plenty of paths to be followed for the Cowboys to pile up touchdowns.
And former Cowboy Micah Parsons believes that, oo.
When asked who he thinks will lead the league in touchdown passes on his podcast, The Edge, Micah named Dak.
"I'm going to say Dak Prescott," Micah said. "I'm saying Dak because we all see the same thing. ... Pickens look like the best receiver in the NFL, and he's coming off a tag year, and he say he's going to show he's the best receiver in the league.
“It's hard for me to say when you got that tandem and Lamb, we didn't really see it last year. We saw what Dak did - 30 last year without CeeDee, missing six games. I think this is going to be the year.”
Parsons, traded away from Dallas to Green Bay a year ago, still clearly has his eyes on his old club, and has an affinity for most of his old cohorts as well.
Meanwhile ...
Dak did lead the league in touchdown passes in 2023 with 36, but that seems to be the outlier when looking at the numbers over the years.
In five of the last six seasons, the leader has thrown at least 41 touchdowns, so Dak has some statistical ground to make up.
In truth, any TD-toss number above 30 is a fine return for Prescott, in part because a total in that range might suggest offensive balance.
The Bengals' Joe Burrow (43) and the Rams' Matthew Stafford (46) have led the league in the last two seasons in this category, and they figure to be in the same class again in 2026.
So Dak might not be the best bet here. But if the TDs lead to wins? The conversation his name might be tossed into could also be that one about "MVP.''
