All eyes are on the mandatory part of the Cowboys' offseason workouts to see if Pickens will attend.

Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens has signed his franchise tag, but that hasn't stopped the storylines and rumors from coming thick and fast this offseason.

Some still aren't sold that Pickens will be a Cowboy in 2026, simply due to how the Micah Parsons saga played out last season.

Others are hopeful that George will stay.

And the big indicator will be whether or not he attends the mandatory practices that begin on June 16.

Also, we might have gotten a little hint as the Cowboys had offseason workouts at The Star on Tuesday, but Pickens wasn't there.

Yes, it's voluntary, so there should be no sweeping statements made, but this caught my attention, and it should catch yours as well.

CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott were there. Hmm, so where's George?

Our own Mike Fisher offered his thoughts on the "will he or won't he" back-and-forth regarding Pickens attending mandatory practices.

"Why sign the tag tender and then not show up?” Fish said. “Why not just sit on your hands for a while? So, I say this as a hopeful gesture for you, Cowboys Nation. I hope that he signed the tender as a concession.

"I'm in. $27.3 million is not unfair. It's fully guaranteed. I understand my baggage that I brought here. This is not punishment. This is a tool, not a weapon, and as long as I'm going to sign, I'm going to be happy about it. And I'm going to show up for work.”

Fish's point is valid, as Pickens can now be fined for not attending the mandatory offseason workouts.

So, if he was planning on not attending, they why sign it.

Also, Fish mentions that Pickens could still show up but be a hold-in, similar to Micah last season. That won't be a great look.

But everything we've heard this offseason doesn't point to George doing anything of that nature; however, the true checkpoint for testing the waters is what he does or doesn't do on June 16.

Still, the fact that CeeDee was there with Dak during voluntary practices and Pickens wasn't, could be a sign of things to come.

Or it might not be.

June 16 can't come quick enough.
