Roundtable Dolphins crew James Brizuela and Billie Melissa break down the Miami Dolphins' Week 7 matchup with the New York Jets.
The Miami Dolphins are back after a Week 6 bye, and they are now gearing up to take on the New York Jets.
Miami is getting healthier at the right time, as the team remains 0-5 thus far. However, wide receiver Caleb Douglas and running back Jaylen Wright are now back in the lineup and will be back on the field for the Jets matchup.
Douglas' return might also usher in a big boost to the ailing passing game. The rookie was the favorite target for quarterback Malik Willis. Willis has since struggled to keep up that same level of chemistry with any other receiver.
Fellow rookie Chris Bell has had some flashes of brilliance in the passing game, but has struggled in Weeks 4 and 5.
Douglas could be the catalyst that leads the pass game to work a bit better, but that remains to be seen. He has missed quite a bit of football.
One way the Dolphins can impact their matchup with the Jets is through the run game. New York has the 25th-ranked run defense, and Ollie Gordon II has proven he is the lead back.
Getting Wright back can only strengthen that fact.
A win on Sunday could also provide the team with the right kind of confidence to keep winning, but it all depends on how everything gels together moving forward.
