One of the biggest storylines for the Dolphins had been Dix being signed the Friday right before their second preseason game. On top of playing in the entire second half, the linebacker was also asked to call plays.

Head coach Jeff Hafley had shouted out Dix following the game, but it appears the linebacker did not do enough to make the 53-man roster.

Moore being cut is also a surprise, and could mean that the defense is plenty happy with Kyle Louis potentially switching over in a more full-time basis.

Dodson being released is quite surprising based on his 2025 performance, but it appears the team is plenty comfortable with Jacob Rodriguez.
