The Miami Dolphins' final injury report confirms two players are out, and three have been upgraded ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs matchup.

The Miami Dolphins have released their final injury report, and the new list now confirms that wide receiver Caleb Douglas and edge Robert Beal Jr. are out.

Additionally, three players have been upgraded.

As was stated by Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley, Douglas is ruled out due to his ankle injury, and Beal will be out due to a hamstring injury.

Hafley also stated that running back Jaylen Wright will be doubtful due to his foot injury, but he also stated he is plenty confident in Ollie Gordon II taking over as the direct backup for De'Von Achane.

Long snapper Tucker Addington is questionable with a shoulder injury, but he has now game status.

Apart from Addington, three Dolphins players have been upgraded as well and no longer have an injury status for the Chiefs matchup.

After being limited for two days with a knee injury, cornerback JuJu Brents was a full participant and has a questionable status for Sunday.

Veteran wide receiver Ryan Miller is also dealing with hip and back injuries. After being limited Wednesday, he missed practice on Thursday, but he was upgraded on Friday and now has no game status.

Wide receiver Chris Bell was also dealing with a knee injury and was limited the first two days of practice. He also has no game status after being upgraded to a full participant on Friday.

Cornerback Chris Johnson, edge Chop Robinson, and tight end Seydou Traore have also remained full.

Notes

Miami needs all players available if they are to keep pace with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Through two weeks of action, the Dolphins have yet to obtain and keep a lead of any kind. A big reason for this has been the lack of pass rush.

Hafley spoke about doing "whatever it takes" to ensure that sacks and pressure are playing a part of the defensive plan. With Robinson back in the lineup that can certainly be the case.

Stopping quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be the main priority for the Dolphins on Sunday, and the defense will need to step up the pass rush to make sure that happens.

Establishing a strong rush game will matter a great deal as well, and the Dolphins will rely on Achane and Gordon to pick up chunk yardage on the ground.

Losing Douglas will be tough, but the other receivers will need to step up in his absence.
