Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley has ruled out two players well ahead of Week 3.

The Miami Dolphins are currently dealing with injuries, and some are more significant than others. Head coach Jeff Hafley spoke to the media on Friday to reveal which players are now out for Week 3.

Rookie wide receiver Caleb Douglas is out, as is edge Robert Beal Jr. Both appeared on the first two injury reports with a DNP (did not participate) status, and they have both been ruled out well ahead of the final report being released.

"Caleb Douglas is out this Sunday," Hafley said.

Douglas is currently dealing with an ankle injury that he sustained during Week 2, when he was rolled during a blocking play.

Beal has been dealing with a hamstring injury that will not keep him out for Week 3.

Additionally, Hafley offered some big updates on multiple other players.

Fellow wide receiver Ryan Miller will be back at practice. Miller has been on the injury report with a hip and back issue, but Hafley confirmed that he will be out on the field on Friday.

Miller missed practice on Thursday, but will be back. The veteran pass catcher also produced a huge highlight-reel play when he caught a 77-yard bomb from quarterback Malik Willis against the San Francisco 49ers.

Considering the injuries to the room, Miller might be one of the starters at wide receiver on Sunday.

Finally, in the wide receiver room is Chris Bell, who has been limited by a knee injury. Bell spoke to the media and stated that he will play and that his knee is only causing some small discomfort.

Hafley also confirmed that the medical staff is comfortable with the rookie being able to play despite his knee experiencing some soreness.

Cornerback JuJu Brents also got some good news, as he will be back at practice as well. He is currently dealing with a knee injury.

One of the only other players who is unlikely to play is running back Jaylen Wright. Wright is dealing with a foot injury, and Hafley confirmed that is doubtful to take the field on Sunday.

With the losses at wide receiver, the new room might feature Miller, rookie Kevin Coleman Jr., and potentially Jalen Tolbert.

On the running back front, Ollie Gordon II will take over as the backup for De'Von Achane and the likely elevation may be with Jarquez Hunter, who could get his first chance at playing after being traded for.
