Miami Dolphins defensive tackles Kenneth Grant and Zach Sieler received injury updates from head coach Jeff Hafley.

The Miami Dolphins have been hit with some significant injuries over the past few weeks, especially on the defensive line. Starters Zach Sieler and Kenneth Grant have now suffered injuries, and both have received updates from head coach Jeff Hafley.

As is the case for Hafley's updates, he did not specify the types of injuries that either has sustained, instead only offering a return timeline.

Sieler had been deemed "week-to-week," but Hafley offered some bigger news on the defensive leader. When asked whether the defensive tackle would be in danger of missing Week 1, Hafley stated that he believes that will not be the case.

"No, I would say the answer is no to that, but anything can happen," Hafley said of Sieler.

Grant appears to be the more significant case, as he has been given his own week-to-week injury status.

"KG is probably week-to-week right now. We'll not see him today, and the remained of this week," Hafley said.

Wide receiver Caleb Douglas appeared to have also banged himself up during practice, but Hafley stated the Dolphins rookie standout was "nothing" to worry about and he would be back practicing on Tuesday.

One of the bigger updates also surrounded fellow pass catcher Chris Bell, who was removed from the NFI (non-football injury list). He has been and will remain in a red no-contact jersey, but the Dolphins head coach indicated that there is "hope" that he will be ready to play in the regular season.

"He's back at practice, so there is always hope. We have to be careful. Yesterday, he was in individual, today he'll do a little more in individual ... how he progresses ... there is still a lot of steps to go. Let's just see how he progresses," Hafley said.

Hafley stated that Bell will continue to ramp up to team drills in the coming weeks. He also stated the rookie receiver will not practice or play against the New York Giants.

Miami is set for a joint practice with the G-Men, before they face off against one another in the second preseason game of the 2026 season.

Bell was predicted to be a first-round pick, but fell to the third round due to suffering a torn ACL late into the 2025 season. He has since been working his way back to football action, and has looked good thus far on workout videos posted to social media.

As Hafley said, it will be about how Bell can recover and bounce back before he is able to take the field again. However, it does appear as though the rookie receiver may be ready to play in the season opener, or at some point early on at the start of the regular season.

There is no guarantee that will happen, but Hafley did provide some hopeful comments that the Miami rookie receiver will be ready soon.
