Multiple Miami Dolphins players have remained out of practice in the latest injury report.
The Miami Dolphins have released their second injury report ahead of their matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, and more players have now been added to the DNP (did not participate list).
It was established that edge Robert Beal Jr. and wide receiver Caleb Douglas did not suit up, but now tight end Justin Joly has joined that group.
The full injury report is as follows:
| layer | Position | Injury | Wed | Thu | Fri | Game Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rob Beal Jr. | EDGE | Hamstring | DNP | DNP | (-) | |
| Caleb Douglas | WR | Ankle | DNP | DNP | (-) | |
| Justin Joly | TE | Concussion | (-) | DNP | (-) | |
| Reese Taylor | CB | Quad | DNP | DNP | (-) | |
| Jackson Woodard | ILB | Ankle | DNP | DNP | (-) | |
| Tucker Addington | LS | Shoulder | LP | LP | (-) | |
| Chris Bell | WR | Knee | LP | LP | (-) | |
| Julius Brents | CB | Heel | LP | LP | (-) | |
| Kenneth Grant | DL | Toe | LP | LP | (-) | |
| Austin Jackson | T | Knee | LP | LP | (-) | |
| Dante Trader Jr. | S | Shin | LP | LP | (-) | |
| Jaylen Wright | RB | Foot | (-) | LP | (-) | |
| Storm Duck | CB | Knee | FP | FP | (-) |
Joly is in concussion protocol and will presumably miss Week 5. This also includes the aforementioned Douglas and Beal. Additionally, cornerback Reese Taylor also remains out with a quad injury, and linebacker Jackson Woodard also remains out due to his ankle.
Running back Jaylen Wright has been added to the injury report with a foot injury, which led to him being limited on Thursday.
Long snapper Tucker Addington (shoulder), wide receiver Chris Bell (knee), cornerback Juju Brents (heel), defensive tackle Kenneth Grant (toe), tackle Austin Jackson (Knee), and safety Dante Trader Jr. (shin) remain limited.
Cornerback Storm Duck was also a full participant yet again, meaning that he may very well take the field against the Bengals. How he is utilized remains to be seen, as the usual case for player returning from injury is that they are ramped back up.
Duck has not played in any games this season and has just returned to practice after recovering from his knee injury during training camp. If he can be on the field for some snaps, it could be a huge boost to the secondary.
A strong secondary will be needed against this Bengals team, which may get Ja'Marr Chase back. The receiver has been dealing with a concussion, but he was upgraded on Thursday.
The Dolphins remain winless through 2026, but their growth over these past four games has been evident. Miami nearly pulled off a win against the Minnesota Vikings, but they could not close it out and lost 15-10.
The defense stepped up in a big way, as they pulled off four sacks against Kyler Murray. That will need to happen to stop quarterback Joe Burrow, who is arguably the best passer in the NFL.
Miami will then be on a Week 6 BYE, which can also allow players to get a week of rest. While Duck will likely play in Week 5, that week will give Grant more time to work his way back, should he not be ready to play against the Bengals.
