The Miami Dolphins have made several roster moves ahead of their matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Miami Dolphins are preparing to take on the San Francisco 49ers, and the team has made a flurry of roster moves to prepare for the game.

Per the team's official site, linebacker Ronnie Harrison Jr. has been placed on IR (injured reserve). His addition to the list is due to a hamstring injury that has been plaguing him since Week 1.

To make up for Harrison's spot, the Dolphins also announced that linebacker Liam Anderson has been signed to the active roster from the practice squad.

Additionally, the team has elevated both egdes Clelin Ferrell and Max Llewellyn to the roster for Week 2.

With fellow edge Chop Robinson being ruled out for the game due to a concussion, the team is bringing in more edge help. The pass rush for the team struggled mightily against the Las Vegas Raiders, and that is one element that will need to improve this Sunday.

The 49ers have quarterback Brock Purdy, running back Christian McCaffrey, and wide receiver Mike Evans, who can cause all kinds of problems for the Dolphins' defense. Not having a strong pass rush may lead to a long day for the defense.

Miami is now 0-1 after losing the Raiders in Week 1, and the team stayed on the West Coast to prepare for the 49ers.

With more preparation and being able to stay together in what has been described as a "college" environment, the Dolphins are looking to build off the posititves they showed in Week 1.

Despite the loss to the Raiders, the team showed some promise. The youth movement was clearly shown well, as rookie guard Kadyn Proctor, linebacker Jacob Rodriguez, and cornerback Chris Johnson were among the players most talked about.

Now, it will be up to the Dolphins to continue melding in a significant way to grind out a win.

That will be especially tough on Sunday, as the 49ers are predicted to be one of the toughest teams in the NFL. They showed that plenty by handily beating the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1.

Miami may struggle even more now that the team has lost two key players, Harrison and Robinson, for the game.

Robinson may be back for Week 3, but he must past multiple concussion protocols to be able to take the field again. He was clearly not ready leading up to the 49ers game, but he could pass those benchmarks to be ready to play next week.
