Predictions

The Dolphins are facing a highly competitive Jets team that has lost most of their games by only one score. Miami has had their own string of luck in that department, but they have yet to come away with a win.

Both teams often play one another hard, and this game could go either way. Considering the Dolphins have yet to win a game but are coming off a week of rest, they may be able to grind this one out.

Rookie receiver Caleb Douglas is back and might offer the offense the boost that they need.

More

The Dolphins have yet to hold and sustain a lead in 2026. Malik Willis continues to struggle, but he is now getting his top target back.

As mentioned above, Douglas was the top target for Willis. If they can continue their high level of chemistry right off the bat in Week 7, the passing game might finally see some life.

The run game continues to be a bright spot. With Ollie Gordon II taking over as the lead back and Willis utilizing his legs, the rush attack has been one of the best in the league.

Based on new stats from the organization, the Dolphins are second in rushing yards per game since Week 3, with 152.3 yards per game. Additionally, Miami is holding to an NFL-best 5.5 yards per rush.

If the Dolphins offense can continue utilizing the run game against the 25th-ranked Jets run defense, the team could finally pull out a win.

Hybrid safety and linebacker Kyle Louis is also back in the lineup. After missing the past four games due to a knee injury, he has been activated from the IR and will suit up against the Jets.

How much Louis plays remains to be seen.
