The Miami Dolphins have not yet won in 2026, but here are some keys for them to stun the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Miami Dolphins have been showing some promise through four weeks, but that promise has not turned into any wins just yet.

The team now has a very tough challenge ahead, with the Cincinnati Bengals awaiting. The Bengals might also have the services of both Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase, as both have been nursing injuries.

That said, here are four keys for the Dolphins to pick up their first win of the season.

Let Ollie Gordon II Loose

Miami may have lost De'Von Achane, but Ollie Gordon II used his powerful body and frame to rifle off 100 yards on the ground against the Minnesota Vikings. The Bengals have a slightly less better run defense, and the Dolphins need to expose that.

The issue is that the Dolphins may be without the help of Jaylen Wright, but this leaves Gordon to take the mantle of the lead back yet again.

Offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik needs to find ways to get the ball to Gordon as much as possible, even if he struggles with yardage at the beginning of the game.

Rely on YAC Opportunities

The offense has been a sticking point, as quarterback Malik Willis has not yet established the kind of chemistry that has turned into points. While he is getting more brazen with deep shots, he needs to finish drives.

If Willis can move the chains effectively, Gordon can punch the ball in. Lean on the run game to finish drives.

The issue remains that the receivers Willis has to work with are not creating enough separation. If that is the case, allow them to attack the middle of the field for YAC opportunities.

Get After Joe Burrow

The Dolphins nearly beat the Vikings, which was due to the four sacks they committed against Kyler Murray. Getting after Joe Burrow in the same manner can lead to his being off on his throws.

Burrow having time in the pocket is dangerous given his arm strength. If the Miami defense can cause chaos early and often, the Bengals' offense will be thrown off all day.

Stifling Burrow and the many weapons the Bengals have is a must for this Dolphins team.

Limit Penalties

The Dolphins may be a young team, but that is no excuse when it comes to the penalties being committed. Both units need to play disciplined football.

There is nothing worse than drives or stops being wiped away due to silly penalties. Granted, the sack from Chop Robinson in Week 3 may have been legal, but giving the refs any excuse to throw the yellow flag is not what should be happening.
