A look at the state of the Miami Dolphins' wide receivers ahead of training camp.

There might not be more questions surrounding the Miami Dolphins than in the wide receiver room. After Jaylen Waddle was traded and Tyreek Hill released, a multitude of free agents were brought in.

The group is now led by Tutu Atwell and Jalen Tolbert, on top of some returning younger players. Though the unit may be a bit underwhelming on paper, it all depends on how they build chemistry with Malik Willis.

That said, here is a look at the Dolphins wide receiver room ahead of training camp.

Dolphins Wide Receivers on the Roster

Tutu Atwell

Atwell spent all five of his seasons in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams, where he failed to make the impact that could have made him a true WR1. After the arrival of Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, he fell down the depth chart.

Atwell has 1,535 yards and five touchdowns through five seasons.

Jalen Tolbert

Tolbert was in a similar situation with the Dallas Cowboys. During his four-year stretch there, he secured 1,093 yards and 10 touchdowns. He did bring in 610 yards and seven touchdowns during the 2024 season, but he also fell down the depth chart due to CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.

Malik Washington

Malik Washington has been named as one of the receivers who has developed some strong chemistry with Willis, but the pads have yet to come on, so that chemistry will be tested a lot more in free agency.

Washington is entering his third season with 675 yards and five touchdowns from scrimmage.

Caleb Douglas

Caleb Douglas was drafted by the Dolphins in the third round out of Texas Tech. He has 2,031 yards and 16 touchdowns through four years at the collegiate level.

Chris Bell

Chris Bell joined Douglas after being drafted in the third round of the draft. There is hope he can be explosive, but a torn ACL during the 2025 season may impact his ability to start or play when the regular season begins.

Kevin Coleman Jr.

Kevin Coleman Jr. is the third of the wide receivers taken by the Dolphins in the draft. He has 2,026 yards and nine touchdowns in three years of college.

Jalen Reagor

Jalen Reagor is a former first-round pick who has amassed 1,037 yards and four touchdowns through five seasons.

Additional backups:

Theo Wease Jr.

Terrace Marshall Jr.

Donoven McCulley

AJ Henning

Biggest Wide Receiver Questions

The biggest question for the Dolphins is if any one of these receivers can emerge as a WR1 option for the team and Willis. Atwell and Tolbert have had the most success in the NFL, but they remain more of a question than a sure thing.

Will Miami's front office consider a free agent option? With Willis' first year needing to be significant, it may be necessary to explore more pass-catching help from more proven veterans.
