Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts did not play well in Week 3.

Hurts went from No. 13 to No. 25.

Not only did the Eagles lose to the Chicago Bears in Week 3 on Monday Night Football, but Hurts also played poorly for the whole world to see. The Pro Bowler went 16/25 through the air for 153 passing yards and one interception. He ran the ball four times for 25 yards and a score.

Philadelphia scored just seven points against Chicago and lost by a final score of 27-7, dropping to 2-1 on the season.

Entering this season, there was concern that Hurts would struggle in a new offense. Through three games, Hurts has 620 passing yards, five passing touchdowns and three interceptions.

The Eagles are 59-26 in the regular season with Hurts under center. They have been to two Super Bowls and won it all against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

Even though the Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023, there is little guaranteed money left on Hurts' deal after the 2026 season.

If Hurts plays well moving forward and leads the Eagles to another Super Bowl, he will get another huge extension.

A talented runner and thrower, Hurts finished the 2025 season with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He completed 64.8% of his passes.

Hurts entered this season with 17,891 passing yards, 110 passing touchdowns, 3,554 rushing yards and 63 rushing touchdowns in his career. He's made the Pro Bowl three times and won Super Bowl LIX MVP against the Chiefs.

If Hurts plays well the rest of the way in 2026, the Eagles will make the playoffs again and contend for a Super Bowl.

However, if the QB struggles in Sean Mannion's system in tough games, Philadelphia will crumble and Hurts may be traded next offseason.

Philadelphia traded A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots in the offseason. Brown and Hurts used to be best friends.

With Brown gone, DeVonta Smith is Hurts' new No. 1 WR. Hurts was at Smith's wedding this offseason, so the two are close, but there was a viral moment during the Bears-Eagles game where Smith was seemingly ignoring Hurts on the bench.

Philadelphia faces the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4. The Rams are 1-2.

The Eagles beat the Washington Commanders in Week 1 and defeated the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. Let's see if Hurts bounces back in Week 4 against the Rams.
