After a horrific loss in the 2025-26 NFC Wild Card round, the Philadelphia Eagles and general manager Howie Roseman will surely have an eventful offseason.
The former Super Bowl Champions have dealt with a slew of issues leading up to this point, fans could potentially see the first domino fall soon, according to recent news.
Following a discussion of the Eagles’ offensive coordinator position on 97.5 The Fanatic on Wednesday afternoon, NFL insider Adam Schefter hinted that there could be more than just a hiring next week.
“And maybe it’ll be even more than [an offensive coordinator move] next week,” Schefter claimed on 97.5 The Fanatic. “Maybe there it’ll be even more than a discussion of an offensive coordinator, we’ll see.”

While Schefter did not drop any more hints at what the potential news could be, there are plenty of different outcomes that could be in play. One of the biggest storylines for Philadelphia heading into this offseason has been the disconnect between star wide receiver AJ Brown and the franchise.
Brown, who was traded to the Eagles during the 2022 NFL Draft, has been a key piece to the team’s offensive efforts since joining the squad. However, the 28-year-old veteran is coming off a down year, recording just 1,003 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. His 2025 campaign was statistically one of the worst seasons of his career, as he failed to reach the 1,000-yard receiving mark one time back in 2021 due to playing in 13 games.
Luckily, there is a glimmer of hope that this potential news could not be directed towards Brown, as Eagles’ star defender Brandon Graham, on his podcast last week, claimed that if Roseman “makes a splash with the coordinator,” he could return to Philadelphia in 2026.
"I think so," Graham said on his podcast. "I really do think so. If Howie makes a splash with the coordinator, I think it will probably spark some interest with people wanting to come back and have a real conversation on how you feel about this and all that, because I know Howie don't want to get rid of no good players."
Another issue that Schefter could be pointing to is the team’s head coach position, but with most of the league already filling the head coaching position for next season, all signs point to Nick Sirianni returning in 2026.
