The Philadelphia Eagles have a lot to figure out over the next week.
The Philadelphia Eagles are in some real trouble right now, with the team having lost six straight games.
Philadelphia fell to the Washington Commanders over the weekend, seeing their record drop to 2-6 on the year. The Eagles' 2026 season has come undone very quickly, with the team seeing multiple injuries taking place as well.
Due to the struggles that the Eagles have seen this season, there have been all sorts of rumors that the team could be active with the NFL trade deadline coming up. Philadelphia's front office has never been afraid to take chances, continuously making moves to shake the roster up.
Running back Saquon Barkley has been subject to trade rumors of late, with some believing that Philadelphia could pull the trigger on a deal. But it has now been reported that the Eagles have told Barkley that he won't be moved before the trade deadline this year.
However, this doesn't mean that the Eagles won't still make a few moves, with the front office having a lot to figure out over the next week. The Eagles are going nowhere fast, and getting some future draft capital for players does make sense.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport mentioned on Monday morning that some other veterans on the Eagles could be moved before the trade deadline ends. This includes cornerback Riq Woolen and guard Landon Dickerson.
It remains to be seen if the Eagles will move either of the two veteran players, but Woolen seems like a good bet. The cornerback is only on a one-year deal with Philadelphia, and this team won't be contending for the playoffs, in all likelihood.
Woolen has struggled with the Eagles this season, posting just 30 total tackles, no interceptions, six pass deflections, and one forced fumble. The veteran could be a good candidate for a bounce-back second half with a new team, and the Eagles could get some draft capital for him.
As for Dickerson, he could provide a team that needs more offensive line help with a major boost. The guard spot is important for any team, and Dickerson is one of the better veteran players at the position.
Overall, the Eagles' front office has some options to sort through before the deadline, with the group looking at everything from the season as a whole. But if the Eagles do end up making trades, it shouldn't be a surprise at all.
