The Philadelphia Eagles and general manager Howie Roseman have dealt with a slew of issues throughout the course of the 2026 NFL offseason.

Between the drama surrounding star wideout AJ Brown’s status with the team heading into next year and the recent claims around quarterback Jalen Hurts, the rest of the news has seemingly been pushed to the side. However, the acquisition of veteran Andy Dalton puts quarterback Tanner McKee in a rough spot heading into next year, making him an ideal trade candidate.

Here are three teams that would be perfect trade suitors for McKee before the 2026 NFL Draft.

Could the Browns and the Eagles make another quarterback trade this offseason?

Last year, Browns general manager Andrew Berry and Roseman struck a deal that saw quarterback Kenny Pickett be traded to the struggling organization in exchange for Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a few draft picks. Once again, Cleveland will be heading into the 2026 NFL season with uncertainty at the quarterback position, which means McKee could easily compete for a starting role if he is dealt to the Browns.

Another team that has yet to figure out its starting quarterback for next season is the Arizona Cardinals, who have quickly entered a full-blown rebuild this offseason.

With the Cardinals parting ways with Kyler Murray earlier this year, newly-hired head coach Mike LeFleur could use a young, promising quarterback to fight for the starting job in 2026. McKee would be an excellent fit for LeFleur’s scheme, but the team’s willingness to trade for him will depend on whether or not Arizona decides to take Alabama’s Ty Simpson.

The Buccaneers have been fortunate enough not to worry about the quarterback position over the past couple of seasons, with former 2018 No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield leading the charge. However, Mayfield’s last season with the organization has led to many question marks regarding his future in Tampa Bay.

While Mayfield is under contract for the 2026 season, it’s clear that the franchise must begin looking for its future quarterback. If Mayfield takes a dramatic step back without star wideout Mike Evans or suffers another injury, McKee would be the perfect replacement to test out next season.
