The Atlanta Falcons have a massive challenge this week.

The Atlanta Falcons lost another ugly one this weekend, falling 31-23 to the Chicago Bears and dropping to 0-3 in their home building in front of a whole lot of away fans that were making noise.

Chicago is one of the best teams in the NFC and this is hardly a disgrace of a loss with the way Caleb Williams was able to play, however now sitting at 2-4 and losing ground quickly in the NFC South race, there is no time to sulk and commiserate about the defeat. The challenge gets even more significant this week, and with the San Francisco 49ers coming to town, the task is a tall one.

If Atlanta does not quickly turn the page and find a way to perform this week, things have the potential to get ugly against a team who might just be the very best in football right now.

Falcons Facing NFL's Best This Week with 49ers Coming to Town

Atlanta has shown flashes over the first six games, and in their two wins, they played the kind of style which looked like it could translate to give them a chance to beat anyone they may go up against.

The losses though have highlighted flaws in pass protection, defensive integrity, and of course overall level of play from the quarterback position. Given how elite San Francisco is on both sides of the ball, they are certainly going to try to expose some of these flaws, and if the way they have played against other teams so far is any indication, they are capable of doing it.

The Falcons have yet to win a home game, and the fans are becoming restless. The 49ers on the other hand are dominating everyone in their path, and it just so happens Atlanta is the next team up in that path.

There is not time to figure out what went wrong on Sunday, there is only time to figure out how to fix it if they want to have a chance to win this game. Anyone can beat anyone in this league, but Atlanta is going to have a massive test in front of them with San Francisco coming to try to grab another victory.

If the Falcons do not fix their problems, it could potentially get out of hand with the 49ers this week. San Francisco will try to expose Atlanta once again, and if they do, the noise is only going to get louder during what has been a rough year so far.
