The Atlanta Falcons earned their biggest victory of the season in an absolute must-win situation, defeating the previously undefeated San Francisco 49ers and giving the fans the first happy drive home of the year.

Those fans were ecstatic on Sunday, and rightfully so with a win like that. On a huge day from Michael Penix Jr. and a dominant showing from the defense, the Falcons were able to do something special and send a message to the rest of the NFC. By far the best storyline of the day though involves Atlanta's rookie linebacker and new fan favorite Kendal Daniels.

Just one week after being immobilized and removed from the same field on a stretcher, Daniels not only returned to practice days later and played in the game, he made two plays which were able to put the game on ice and secure the win for the Falcons.

With an interception in the game's final minutes, Daniels was able to get Atlanta into the red zone where they would eventually kick a field goal to make it a two possession game and effectively give his team the win.

But if that wasn't enough, not two minutes of game time later, Daniels would force a fumble that put the final nail in the coffin and allowed the Falcons to send the 49ers back out West with a fresh new check in the loss column for the first time this season.

It's tough to put into words just how much that meant for a player to suffer one of the scariest looking injuries you will ever see on a football field to come back just one week later and make two plays that won his team the game. It can be safely said though that Daniels despite being so early in his career has just put his name in Atlanta lore forever.

The rookie, who was already looking like a steal as a fourth round pick who had been performing like a seasoned veteran, is a key part of this team's core moving forward, and every Falcons fan will certainly be watching his career very closely for the years ahead.

Daniels this Sunday is as good as it gets in the NFL, and Atlanta looks like they have itself a very special football player. No one knows what the rest of his career holds, but it's safe to say this is not a moment the Falcons will be forgetting anytime soon.
