Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile will meet with the Baltimore Ravens on Monday to interview for the team's head coach job, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Campanile had a virtual interview Saturday with the Miami Dolphins as they continue their search to replace head coach Mike McDaniel, who was fired on Jan. 8.
The Ravens ousted their coach, John Harbaugh, on Jan. 6 in a surprise move by team owner Steve Bisciotti the day after Baltimore lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-26 in the teams' season finale.
First-year defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile was hired by the Jaguars last January after Liam Coen was brought in as head coach. The two led Jacksonville to its first 13-win season since 1999. (Corey Perrine/Florida Times-Union)Harbaugh, who coached the Ravens for 18 years, 24 playoff berths and a Super Bowl victory (2012), agreed to terms Saturday to become the next coach of the New York Giants.
The Ravens' vacancy is currently one of seven NFL head-coach openings, after the Buffalo Bills fired Sean McDermott early Monday.
Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski is expected to have a second interview Monday with the Cleveland Browns, after first meeting with team officials on Saturday.
The Browns, who fired two-time Coach of the Year Kevin Stefanski on Jan. 5, are one of nine teams to have let go their head coaches this season and postseason. Stefanski on Saturday was hired as the new coach of the Atlanta Falcons.
This year's coaching carousel began mid-season with the Tennessee Titans, who ousted Brian Callahan on Oct. 13 after the team started 1-5.
Campanile was reportedly on the wish list of candidates the Titans planned to interview this offseason for their head coach opening. Rumors of the Titans' interest in Campanile were reported on Dec. 20, just ahead of the Jaguars' upset-win over the Broncos in Denver in Week 16. Mike McCoy, who nominally remains the Titans' interim coach, is among the estimated 15 candidates the team has interviewed.
Amidst the flurry of interviews for Campanile and Udinski, the Jaguars' coaching staff lost two assists over the weekend. Assistant offensive line coach and run-game specialist Keli'i Kekuewa was hired away by Stanford, where he'll focus on the offensive line for the Cardinal. On Friday, Jacksonville let go its secondary coach, Ron Milus.
Campanile, 43, is reportedly among nine candidates the Dolphins have met with or plan to interview. He spent four seasons in Miami, from 2020-2023, coaching the linebackers squad. The New Jersey native spent 2024 as an assistant with the Green Bay Packers.
