
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen joins four other finalists for the NFL's 2025 Coach of the Year award, the league and Associated Press announced Thursday.
Coen has stiff competition: the New England Patriots' Mike Vrabel; the San Francisco 49ers' Kyle Shanahan; Ben Johnson of the Chicago Bears; and the Seattle Seahawks' Mike Macdonald.
Joining Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the running for NFL MVP are finalists QB for the Los Angeles Rams; Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen; Patriots QB Drake Maye; and running back Christian McCaffrey.
Comeback Player of the Year finalists joining Lawrence include McCaffrey; Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs; Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson; and Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott.
In the history of the franchise, no one from the Jaguars has netted Coach of the Year, Most Valuable Player, or Comeback Player of the Year awards. The finalists nods for Lawrence and Coen are firsts for both.
The finalists for the 2025 Offensive Player of the Year include: May and McCaffrey as well as Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson and receivers Puka Nacua of the Rams and Jaxon Smith-Njigba from the Seahawks.
On the defensive side, the contenders from this season are Hutchinson, along with Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr.; Broncos linebacker Nik Bonitto; Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons; and Cleveland Browns defensive end and sack king Myles Garrett.
One of these five finalists for will win the 2025 Offensive Rookie of the Year: as quarterbacks, the New York Giants' Jaxson Dart and New Orleans Saints' Tyler Shough; receivers Emeka Egbuka of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tetairoa McMillan from the Carolina Panthers; and New England tailback TreVeyon Henderson.
Finalists for DROY include Giants LB Abdul Carter; Seattle safety Nick Emmanwori; Browns LB Carson Schwesinger; and two Falcons rookies -- DE James Pearce Jr. and safety Xavier Watts.
Finalists for the league's Assistant Coach of the Year include three defensive coordinators -- the Philadelphia Eagles' Vic Fangio, Brian Flores of the Minnesota Vikings, and the Denver Broncos' Vance Joseph -- and two offensive coordinators in the Seahawks' Klint Kubiak and the Pats' Josh McDaniels.
Winners will be announced at the NFL Honors program, hosted by actor Jon Hamm, during Super Bowl week, on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 9 p.m. ET.
The newest Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be announced, along with the Protector of the Year Award honoring the league's best offensive lineman in 2025, and the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.
Super Bowl LX is set for Sunday, Feb. 8, at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
