Linebacker Devin Lloyd earns his first All-Pro nod; long snapper Ross Matiscik nets his third consecutive selection, highlighting the Jaguars' defensive and special teams excellence.

Jacksonville Jaguars long snapper Ross Matiscik and linebacker Devin Lloyd have been named NFL All Pros, the Associated Press announced Saturday.

Matiscik earned first-team honors and Lloyd was named to the second team.

This is Lloyd’s first All-Pro nod.

Matiscik made the All-Pro roster for the third straight year; this year's honor was his second first-team selection (2023).

Matiscik recently was voted to this year's NFL Pro Bowl for the third straight season. He was the only player from the Jaguars to make the starting roster for the AFC.

The All-Pro announcement comes after the Jags won the AFC South, with a 13-4 record, and are preparing to host the Buffalo Bills (12-5) on Sunday (1 p.m. ET) in the first round of the playoffs.

All Pros are selected each year by panel of 50 experienced sportswriters and broadcasters nationwide. Players are evaluated based on season-long merit, with first and second teams chosen.

Lloyd was recognized by the NFL as AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September and was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week following Week 4, after the Jaguars defeated the 49ers 26-21 in San Francisco in a defensive showcase. Lloyd led Jacksonville with eight total tackles and two pass-defenses, and he had two of the Jaguars' four interceptions.

Lloyd is having his best season ever in the NFL and is headed into free agency at the end of the season, when the 27-year-old is expected to command top-dollar for his services. In April, the Jaguars declined to pick up a fifth-year option for Lloyd, a first-round draft pick out of Utah in 2022.

A key part of the Jaguars' defense, which is ranked No. 1 against the run and No. 2 in takeaways, Lloyd started 15 games this season, amassing 74 tackles, 10 QB hits, seven passes defensed, six tackles for loss, five interceptions (one of them a pick-six), 1.5 sacks and one fumble recovery. His five INTs and six takeaways tied for the second and third most in the NFL, respectively. Lloyd is just the second player in the last 20 years to have at least 10 QB hits and five picks in a season -- the first since Tampa Bay Buccaneers LB Lavonte David in 2013.

Five of Lloyd's 10 quarterback hits came in Week 12’s road win against the Arizona Cardinals -- tying the most by a linebacker in a game this season and marking the most by a Jaguar in a game since defensive lineman Calais Campbell in 2019. Lloyd’s 99-yard touchdown in the Jaguars’ Week 5 win against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football was the longest in franchise history and the longest regular-season return by a linebacker since 1941.

Matiscik has snapped for punter Logan Cooke, who has a 43-yard punting average this season -- the fourth best in the AFC. A rookie free agent out of Baylor in 2022, Matiscik also snapped for kicker Cam Little’s franchise-record 140 points scored, fifth most in the NFL this season. Little this season booted the longest two field goals in NFL history -- a 68-yarder in the Jags' overtime win in Las Vegas on Nov. 2 and a 67-yarder in the Jags' season-finale victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Matiscik played 140 special teams snaps this season and made four tackles, tied for third in the league among long snappers. Since entering the league in 2020, his 22 special-teams tackles are tied for the most in the NFL at his position.

Lloyd was an alternate selection to this year's NFL Pro-Bowl team for the AFC. Other Jaguars who earned alternate selections to the Pro Bowl roster were quarterback Trevor Lawrence, running back Travis Etienne Jr., and Parker Washington, in his role as a punt returner. Alternates are expected to fill in for Pro Bowlers who can't participate in the Pro Bowl Game, set for Feb. 3 in San Francisco during Super Bowl week.

The NFL Players Association 2026 All-Pro team selections have not yet been announced.

This is the fourth year of the Associated Press's updated selection process. In 2022, AP shifted from voting only for first-team honors to selecting both first and second teams using a weighted points system -- 3 for first, 1 for second -- aiming for better accuracy by considering more talent beyond the stand-out top players and taking into account players who were previously runners-up or overlooked.

Previously, All-Pro nominees named to the second team were often leftovers from first-team votes.
