Leaked 2026 NFL Players Association survey results and report cards on each NFL franchise were posted Thursday by ESPN, despite the NFL winning an arbitration case against the NFLPA earlier this month to keep the union from making the findings public.
While some teams probably aren't happy about the results, the Jacksonville Jaguars come away looking very good as a franchise based on the survey.
An estimated 1,759 players from across the league responded to the union's survey regarding the 2025 season, to essentially grade teams on a variety of factors, including facilities, training, travel, coaching staff, ownership and more. (Just under 1,700 players comprise the 53-man active rosters of all 32 NFL teams, though practice squad players under contract throughout any given season can push that number could top out at 2,240, given the league's maximum roster limits.)
The Jaguars' survey results feature plenty of A's and B's, including as high as an A+ for special teams coordinator Heath Farwell, who has been in the position since 2022 and was retained by head coach Liam Coen as a holdover from ousted coach Doug Pederson's staff.
Overall, the coaches, general manager and team ownership received high marks based on player responses. They received at least an A- in all spots except for offensive coordinator, which received a B+, and position coaches, which received a C.
Jacksonville earned "A" grades for its defensive coordinator, team ownership and strength coaches, and an A- for head coach and general manager.
In terms of how the players view their facilities and team experience, Jacksonville also received very good to great grades across the board. They received an A for their training room and their weight room; an A- for their locker room, nutritionist/dietician, and training staff; and a B+ for treatment of families, food/dining area, home game field and team travel.
In other words, Jaguars players are very pleased with who they have running the team and how they are taken care of on and off the field. That's a credit to owner Shad Khan, who has continuously invested in the team and is set to make enhanced improvements to the team facilities and to EverBank Stadium, touting it the Stadium of the Future opening in 2028.
The Jaguars went from 18th in the league on the NFLPA report card for the 2024 season to ranking fifth among NFL teams for 2025. That's also a credit to Khan, as well as Coen and his staff. Mostly his coordinators Farwell, offensive coordinator Grant Udinski, and defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile. Udinski and Campanile both received head-coach interviews this cycle.
The Jaguars have come a long way in just a short time under the tripart brain trust of Coen, Gladstone and executive vice president Tony Boselli. Off the record, they're now viewed as one of the better franchises in the NFL.
