The Jacksonville Jaguars have a strong 1-2 punch on the defensive line with Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker. They will continue to grow together into one of the best D-line duos in the NFL.

Jacksonville Jaguars EDGE Josh Hines-Allen has been one of the most vocal players on the team throughout this offseason, talking about building on last year's successes and giving his younger teammates praise.

On Monday, Hines-Allen joined NFL Insider Jordan Schultz on the Schultz Report to talk about his excitement for the upcoming year and what he expects from his unit.

Later in the show, he was asked about his top-5 pass rushers in the NFL, giving credit to his teammate Travon Walker.

Alongside Myles Garrett, himself, Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter, Walker made the cut, with Hines-Allen saying he is his "brother."

Hines-Allen has been an advocate for Walker all season long, advocating him to get paid for his lucrative extension.

Back in early-April, Walker inked a 4-year deal worth $110 million, keeping the young defensive end in Duval for years to come.

"Travon fits what we want to be and what we’re about as an organization,"Jaguars General Manager James Gladstone said in a press release. "His determination to play through injury last season cemented our belief in him. His best football is still ahead of him, and we’re excited that will happen with the Jaguars."

Battling through injuries last year, Walker recorded his lowest sack total (3.5) since his rookie year and posted a career-low in tackles.

But he has proven himself as one of the brightest up-and-coming edges in the NFL, recording back-to-back seasons with 10 or more sacks in 2023 and 2024.

The former Georgia standout also ranked within the top 25 for total pressures among all edge rushers for both seasons.

In June, Roundtable's Jason Klingensmith highlighted the potential 1-2 punch Hines-Allen and Walker could be on the outside, saying that "it is realistic to hope for a combined 30 sacks between the two."

This would be a monster year for Jacksonville's defensive line, while allowing the duo to grow into one of the best in the NFL.

For Hines-Allen, the numbers keep stacking up, as he became the franchise's all-time leader in sacks (61) last season.

With another year of seven or more sacks, Hines-Allen will become the first player in franchise history to do so for six consecutive seasons, and give his record some additional cushion.

At just 29 years old, Hines-Allen is still in his prime and could be getting even better.

Having he and Walker locked in on improving and signed with Jacksonville for the foreseeable future is a huge benefit for the front office, which has two difference makers coming off the edge.
