New York Jets RB Breece Hall got hurt in Week 3 against the Detroit Lions.
Not only did the New York Jets lose to the Detroit Lions in Week 3, but RB Breece Hall also got hurt.
Hall suffered a right thigh injury in the fourth quarter and left the game.
"You know, it sucks, but it's part of the game," Hall said. "It sucks."
Hall said he probably will undergo an MRI on his injured right thigh after leaving Sunday's loss with the injury.
"I felt something when I was running and then got tackled and planted and then felt something else," Hall said. "So, we'll see."
The Jets lost to the Lions by a final score of 31-24. Hall had 32 rushing yards on 13 carries.
A long-term injury to Hall would be a huge blow to the Jets, who have a litany of injuries on offense.
New York played without wide receiver Adonai Mitchell (finger) and tight end Mason Taylor (thumb), forcing head coach Aaron Glenn to use players from the practice squad. Left guard Dylan Parham (knee) was injured in the game and didn't return and wide receiver Garrett Wilson missed the final play of the game while he was evaluated for a concussion.
Despite being short-handed, the Jets rallied from a 24-10 deficit in the fourth quarter on Geno Smith's second and third touchdown passes. They tied it on Wilson's acrobatic, falling-backward catch from 23 yards with 4:06 remaining, but Glenn's defense melted in crunch time.
The Jets wasted a terrific game by Smith, the first Jets quarterback with 300 passing yards since Aaron Rodgers (2024, Week 18) and the first with 300 yards and three touchdowns since Mike White (2022).
Glenn's defense gave up 381 total yards against the Lions. Even though Glenn used to be Detroit's defensive coordinator, the Jets' defense struggled against Jared Goff and Co.
Goff had 269 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. The Jets still have not recorded an interception in the Glenn era.
Last season, the Jets became the first team in NFL history to go an entire season without an interception. The NFL has tracked interceptions as an official statistic since 1933.
Before this, no team had recorded fewer than two interceptions in a single season (a mark previously held by the 2018 San Francisco 49ers).
The Jets face the Chicago Bears in Chicago in Week 4. It will be interesting to see if Hall plays in that contest.
Chicago likely won't have QB Caleb Williams, has he's recovering from a Grade 2 hamstring injury.
