The New York Jets have released the first injury report for Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans.
Ahead of the season-opening game for the New York Jets against the Tennessee Titans, the first injury report has come out.
New York had a fairly clean report considering everything. The Jets had six players listed on the report from Wednesday.
Tight end Kenyon Sadiq was a full participant for New York at practice on Wednesday. The same goes for running backs Breece Hall and Isaiah Davis, giving them each a likely green light to play this weekend.
Cornerback D'Angelo Ponds was limited in practice today, dealing with a calf injury. Wide receiver Tim Patrick didn't practice due to a groin issue.
And finally, edge rusher Joseph Ossai was out of practice due to a foot injury. But overall, this is a good look for the Jets in the first injury report of the NFL season.
Sadiq, the Jets first-round pick from the 2026 NFL Draft, is expected to give this offense a real boost this season. With the Oregon Ducks last year, Sadiq caught 51 passes for 560 yards and eight touchdowns, playing in 14 games.
Hall, the Jets second-round pick in 2022, is looking to have another strong year for New York. Last season, Hall rushed for 1,065 yards and four touchdowns, appearing in 16 games.
Davis, a fifth-round pick out of South Dakota State, has been with the Jets for his entire career. Last season, Davis rushed for 236 yards and one score, playing in 16 games.
Ponds, the Jets second-round pick out of Indiana this year, comes into the league with a ton of upside. Last season with the Hoosiers, Ponds recorded 61 total tackles and two interceptions, helping Indiana win the National Championship.
Patrick, an un-drafted player from the 2017 class, joins the Jets to bolster the wide receiving room. Last season, Patrick caught 15 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns, playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ossai, a former third-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals, signed with the Jets this offseason. The edge rusher played in 14 games last season, recording 43 total tackles, five sacks, and two forced fumbles.
New York hasn't made the playoffs since 2010, continuing the longest drought in North America among sports franchises. But the team has the belief that this could be the season to end the suffering.
The Jets and Titans will kick off during the 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET time window on Sept. 13, opening the NFL season for both teams.
