As Geno Smith serves as a temporary bridge, New York must scout elite prospects like Arch Manning to finally secure a franchise cornerstone and ignite the rebuild.
While the New York Jets are currently in the midst of a full-blown rebuild under the guidance of head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey, the struggling fanbase should be excited for the 2027 NFL Draft class.
This offseason, Mougey and the Jets' front office traded for former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith. The 2013 second-round pick is set to become the organization's bridge quarterback, as New York will likely end up in the range to select their franchise quarterback in the upcoming draft.
With the position being a focal point next offseason, here are three quarterbacks in the 2027 NFL Draft that Jets' fans should keep an eye on this season.
Arch Manning (Texas)

Manning faced plenty of woes at the beginning of the 2025 season, but managed to finish the year with 3,163 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. His rare combination of arm talent and mobility should translate to the professional level, and his ability to navigate the pocket stands out against his peers. If the Jets are fortunate enough to land the top pick in the 2027 Draft, it’s clear that Manning is the perfect prospect to become the Jets’ franchise quarterback.
Dante Moore (Oregon)

While Moore’s bag of tools is not as deep as that of the other projected first-round quarterbacks, his accuracy and ball placement will be his main calling card heading into the draft. If Moore can clean up his poor play against heavy pressure throughout the 2026 season, the polished passer could be a viable option for newly hired offensive coordinator Frank Reich’s system for the foreseeable future.
LaNorris Sellers (South Carolina)

Standing at 6-foot-3, 245 lbs., Sellers’ game features a terrific blend of size, mobility, and arm strength that could make him one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL in the future. However, while Sellers has the tools to be an elite dual-threat quarterback, it’s safe to say that he will be viewed as a developmental prospect who requires work before he takes over as a starter.
