The Miami Dolphins are bringing on a new passing game coordinator with 20 years of coaching experience.

Kevin Patullo only lasted one season as the Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator, he was certainly more prolific in his time as a passing game coordinator. While Patullo was retained by the Eagles, they gave him the opportunity to look elsewhere, and it appears that he’s taking it. NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reported that Patullo is joining the Miami Dolphins coaching staff as the team’s passing game coordinator under new head coach Jeff Hafley and offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik.

In his sole season as OC in Philadelphia, the Eagles were No. 24 in total offense, No. 23 in passing offense, and No. 24 in first downs, third down conversions, and scoring. While that will garner criticism from Dolphins fans, that had a lot to do with playcalling, something he won’t be responsible for in Miami. Patullo has over 20 years of coaching experience at both the collegiate and NFL level that he brings over to the Dolphins coaching staff.

Here is the full story from Dolphins Roundtable writer James Brizuela on the new hire.

Patullo leaves a much more proven offense with pieces in place to head to Miami, where the team’s quarterback is not a clear situation. Reports indicate they’ll move on from Tua Tagovailoa, leaving rookie Quinn Ewers, and likely a spot for a veteran in free agency. Ewers played in three games in 2025, and while they could elect to try him again, it would be wise to grab a more proven option that Patullo and Slowik can work with.
