The Denver Broncos are sending a major draft haul in exchange for a talented Miami Dolphins receiver.
The Denver Broncos made a massive trade on Tuesday with the Miami Dolphins, with head coach Sean Payton finally making a big swing for a star skill player. They are sending their No. 30 overall first round draft pick, a third rounder, and a fourth round draft pick in the 2026 NFL draft in exchange for talented wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. The Dolphins will also send a fourth round draft pick to the Broncos along with Waddle. The selections in the third and fourth are also 30th along with the first rounder. Denver had a real need at the position, and they’ve acquired an incredibly talented pass catcher that may help them get past the AFC Championship Game.
Waddle was taken No. 6 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft by Miami after a storied career with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Waddle had three back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons to start his NFL career, but his numbers faltered along with the sputtering Dolphins offense the last two seasons. Now, Waddle will join a room with Courtland Sutton and Troy Franklin and have an exciting quarterback in Bo Nix.

Miami, in exchange, did right by their star player, and are sending him to a real contender to continue his career. Waddle has three years left on his contract and the 27-year-old is a consistent playmaker that the Dolphins will certainly miss.
