Can the New York Giants grab another win this week against the New Orleans Saints?

After a strange ending to last week, the New York Giants are ready to get back on the field to go after a win.

New York tied with the Washington Commanders a week ago in what ended up being a frustrating game all around. But this is a new week for the Giants, giving them a chance to get back in the win column.

The Giants will be hosting the New Orleans Saints, offering the team a chance to come out on top if they can take care of business. New York enters the game with a record of 3-1-1 on the season, while the Saints come in at 1-4.

Here are some of the biggest X-Factors for the Giants to overtake the Saints this week at home.

1. Get After Tyler Shough

The Giants' defense has been good this season, with the unit even winning a few games for the team this year. But against the Saints, the big question will be whether the New York pass rush can get after quarterback Tyler Shough, pressuring him throughout the contest.

2026 hasn't been the best year for the Saints quarterback, but he is capable of putting together a strong game, so the Giants will have to make sure they don't allow it to happen. New York is dealing with some injuries up front on defense entering the game, but they have enough to get the job done against New Orleans.

2. Limiting Turnovers From Jameis Winston

While starter Jameis Winston has played well, he has also been very turnover-prone, which has hurt him throughout his NFL career. The Giants have gotten the full Winston experience this season, but he has started to look more comfortable in the offensive attack.

Against the Saints, Winston will need to make sure that he limits the turnovers, giving the Giants offense more chances to score. New Orleans can put up points with the best of them, so not giving them more opportunities will be crucial.

3. Get the Running Game Going

New York has to exploit the Saints' run defense, which ranks toward the bottom of the league entering the game. If Cam Skattebo and the other backs can put together a strong showing, it could take some of the pressure off Winston in this game.

The Giants rushing attack has seen mixed results this year, but this is a good opportunity for them to make a statement. If they can't, this game could be much closer than it needs to be when all is said and done.
