New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh shared his thoughts on Terrion Arnold's visit with the team.
The New York Giants hosted former Detroit Lions first-round pick Terrion Arnold on a visit on Wednesday. The Lions released Arnold after his arrest, and he now faces eight pending felony charges.
There is no verdict yet on Arnold, but he could be a quality addition to the Giants if he can play.
"We want to be aggressive in every way, whatever we can do, find anything out we can about any situation or player that can help us be better," Giants head coach John Harbaugh said about hosting Arnold on a visit.
Arnold has had two solid seasons for Detroit to start his career after a great collegiate career with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
In his rookie year in 2024, Arnold finished with 60 total tackles, 10 pass deflections, and a fumble recovery. In the 2025 season, the 23-year-old played well, recording 31 total tackles, eight pass deflections, and an interception in eight games.
USA TODAY Network via Reuters ConnectThe Giants could use some help in the secondary to play behind their elite pass rush, featuring Arvell Reese, Brian Burns, Abdul Carter, and Kayvon Thibodeaux.
Reese was the fifth overall pick in the draft after he was an All-American at Ohio State in 2025, finishing with 69 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and two pass deflections.
Burns played at an elite level in the 2025 season, recording 67 total tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks, seven pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. It was a dominant year for Burns, solidifying himself as one of the best pass rushers in the league.
Carter also showed promise in his rookie season, finishing with 43 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. Thibodeaux had a down year in 2025, but he is still a talented player, as he finished with 25 total tackles, five tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and two pass deflections.
With the Giants' elite pass rush in place, a player like Arnold could thrive on their defense if they sign him and he is able to play in the 2026 season.
