The New York Giants will probably miss the playoffs again this season.

The New York Giants have been predicted to struggle in Year 1 of the John Harbaugh era by NFL analyst Moe Moton of Bleacher Report.

Moton thinks the Giants will go 7-10.

"Thus far, the Giants' offense has struggled at training camp," Moton wrote. "Given offensive coordinator Matt Nagy's mediocre play-calling resume, it all makes sense. In three out of four years as the Chicago Bears' primary play-caller, his offenses ranked 22nd or worse in scoring and 24th or worse in total yards. He has a dynamic quarterback in Jaxson Dart, but the young signal-caller must learn to protect himself in a run-first offense. Wideout Malik Nabers may need time to get back to 100 percent coming off a torn ACL. The Giants have too many offensive question marks to feel good about their season outlook."

In Year 1 of the Harbaugh era, the Giants play the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Commanders, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions. That's a tough slate.

Dart finished his rookie season with 2,272 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, five interceptions, 487 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns. He was evaluated for a concussion four times in his first nine starts (and once in the preseason).

The Giants haven't made the playoffs since the 2022 season. That was the first year of the Brian Daboll era. Too many things have to go right for New York to make the postseason this year. Dart has to stay healthy, Nabers has to play as he did before tearing his ACL, Odell Beckham Jr. has to turn back the clock and the defense has to get stops.

The odds of ALL of those things happening are very, very low.

If Dart leads the Giants to the playoffs this season, he will be in MVP talks. Let's see what happens.
