The New York Giants have announced what number Odell Beckham Jr. will be wearing this season.

For much of the offseason and preseason, one of the bigger questions around the New York Giants was whether veteran wide reciever Odell Beckham Jr. would make the roster.

After being out of football for the entire 2025 season, there were real questions about Beckham's ability to keep going. But the veteran wouldn't be denied, completing his comeback journey to make the Giants roster ahead of the 2026 season.

With Beckham back on the Giants, the next question was which number he would be wearing. During his original stint in New York, Beckham rocked the No. 13, which became famous across the NFL.

And heading into the upcoming season, Beckham will be wearing the same number. The Giants have announced that No. 13 will be staying with Beckham this season.

Beckham played with New York between 2014-18, reaching multiple franchise milestones in the process. The veteran is second in franchise history in receiving yards (5,476), and fourth in both receiving touchdowns (44) and receptions (390).

While the team doesn't know what to fully expect from the 33-year-old, the Giants are curious to see how he performs. Giants head coach John Harbaugh reflected on the journey of Beckham, while showing his excitement to have him on the team.

"I know he knows he accomplished a lot," Harbaugh said. "It's kind of unheard of, in some ways, to be away for so long to come back. I don't know how many times this has actually been done. It would be interesting to see, but the odds were probably against him, I would say. He overcame the odds and did it.

All in all, Beckham's return should have more eyes on the Giants than ever. New York also enters the year with a lot to prove, with Harbaugh taking over for his first season with the team.

Harbaugh understands the leadership and credibility that Beckham brings to the locker room, which could be huge for the season.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart should play better with Beckham on the roster, even in his older years. The former first-round draft pick could help spread the field out, opening pathways for other pass-catchers.

Beckham should only help this group out, providing a veteran mentor for some of the younger players on the roster. The veteran has made the Pro Bowl three times in his NFL career, while also winning the Offense Rookie of the Year honor in 2024.
