With less than half of the 2025 NFL season left for the New York Giants, it’s clear that the struggling franchise has its eyes set on the future.
After a brutal 2-8 start to the season, the Giants ultimately decided to move on from head coach Brian Daboll, as he finished his time in New York with a 20-40-1 record. And with the position being the top priority for the organization this offseason, the search has already begun for the front office.
Luckily for Giants’ fans, one of the top head candidates in the upcoming coaching carousel could find the New York gig an appealing destination.

Denver Broncos’ defensive coordinator Vance Joseph has quickly become a hot commodity in the upcoming coaching landscape after his impressive stint this season. The 53-year-old coordinator has helped the Broncos’ defense become one of the best in the NFL, as Denver ranks first in sacks (49) and third in yards allowed per game (274.4).
While Joseph may be a top target for some teams, the Giants could be an ideal landing spot for the highly-touted defensive coach.
Looking at New York’s roster heading into next season, there are plenty of reasons why this would be a perfect fit for Joseph. On defense, the Giants possess one of the best defensive lines with stars Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence. Considering how well he’s done with the Broncos’ defensive line, Joseph would have a field day within the trenches.
In addition to a strong defensive line, pairing former 2025 first-round pick Abdul Carter with an intelligent coach like Joseph could aid the young talent in his development. Carter has shown promise at times this season, but the rising star would greatly benefit from a proven defensive mind.
If the Giants were to pursue Joseph, it’s clear that the front office would have to hire a slam-dunk for the offensive coordinator in order to help rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart in his development.
One name that makes sense for this role is former Giants quarterback and current Broncos’ passing game coordinator Davis Webb. The 30-year-old coach played a key role in the development of quarterback Bo Nix, making him a perfect candidate to join Joseph.
