With starters sidelined and defensive depth dwindling, the Green Bay Packers face a massive test on Sunday Night Football.

Absolutely nothing has come easy for this Green Bay Packers team, and they're set to be tested even further on Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.

Granted, this is far from the best Cowboys team in recent years, but both of these fanbases haven't forgotten about last year's wild 40-40 tie.

When it comes to the Packers injury report heading into Week 6, things aren't exactly looking great, but they still could be worse.

Obviously, they now they've already lost four talented players to season-ending injuries, so that certainly has an impact on how this team will look the rest of the year.

Not only that, but it seems like Micah Parsons is still a few weeks out, so in no world can anyone expect him to suit up on Sunday, Oct. 18, against his former team.

In total, 13 Packers players appeared on the Wednesday, Oct. 14 injury report, five of which were listed as DNP.

Who were the five Packers that did not participate?

  • Defensive tackle Jonathan Ford (calf)
  • Defensive tackle Javon Hargrave (Achilles)
  • Wide receiver Skyy Moore (ankle)
  • Cornerback Keisean Nixon (groin)
  • Cornerback Benjamin St-Juste (hamstring)

Losing Nixon and St-Juste would be brutal against a Cowboys receiving core that includes CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.

Seeing both listed as DNP right out of the gate is far from ideal, though they still have a few more days to progress before things get even more alarming.

Hargrave is done for the year with his torn Achilles, so there's nothing that will change in that department.

Green Bay's defense has been losing players left and right, so Ford's calf injury suddenly means a lot more than it would've a few weeks ago.

Finally, Moore was replaced on special teams by Matthew Golden last week, but the team is hopeful his ankle will start to trend in the right direction.

Packers had seven limited participants

  • Offensive guard Aaron Banks (knee/toe)
  • Defensive tackle Anthony Campbell (ankle)
  • Offensive guard/center Javon Hargrave (quadricep)
  • Defensive tackle Jordon Riley (Achilles)
  • Safety Evan Williams (illness)
  • Wide receiver Savion Williams (ankle)
  • Defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt (ankle)

Of these players, the two to keep an eye on are Riley and Williams. Both have been designated to return from Injured Reserve and are currently within the 21-day practice window.

Lukas Van Ness was a full participant

This defense certainly needed a boost, and LVN is looking to provide that. He's in the midst of his breakout year, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Van Ness was the team's lone full participant on the first injury report as he pushes through shoulder issues.
