Packers' Jordan Love Moves Up NFL List Despite Inconsistent Performance

The Green Bay Packers 2026 season hasn't gone to plan, with the team struggling to find any rhythm through the first few weeks of the year.

Green Bay currently sits at 2-2 on the season, but this team is very lucky to not be 0-4 at this point. The Packers haven't looked very good at all through the first couple weeks, and it's taken late-game situations to earn the two wins.

But at this point, the Packers will take what they can get, and this team still has goals of winning the Super Bowl this year. However, in order for them to make that become a reality, Green Bay will need to clean up a lot.

One of the biggest areas comes from the offense, with quarterback Jordan Love showing some real inconsistency throughout the year. On the year, Love has thrown for 1,041 with eight touchdowns and three interceptions.

Love has done all he can with the injuries that the Packers have dealt with, both at running back and on the offensive line. But the veteran quarterback didn't play well a week ago against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it almost cost the Packers.

Overall, Love threw for 197 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, going up against a winless Tampa Bay team. For the first time this season, Love wasn't sacked, but his numbers in the game left a lot to be desired.

Despite to his performance, Love was able to be moved up in a new quarterback rankings from NFL. com. Nick Shook of NFL.com put together a list, with Love coming in ranked at No. 23, which is three spots higher than he was a week ago.

At his point, the Packers need Love to do it all for them, but he can't do everything by himself. Love is going to need some help from others across the roster, and the Packers running game has to get going.

The performance from the offensive line against the Buccaneers was encouraging, but that trend will need to continue. Love can't be scrambling around for his life every game, and he needs time to throw the ball.

Green Bay has done what it can to help him on the offensive line, but whether everything sticks remains to be seen. However, there is a lot in front of this Packers team, and as long as Love is under center, this group has a fighting chance.
