The Green Bay Packers have landed a major update regarding the health of tight end Tucker Kraft.

Heading into NFL training camp, there have been some questions surrounding the Green Bay Packers. Among those questions have been the health status of a few key players.

Obviously, the health of Micah Parsons has been the big storyline surrounding the Packers all offseason long. Unfortunately, the current expectation is that Parsons will miss at least the first half of the 2026 NFL season. However, he should be back at 100 percent at that point in time.

Tucker Kraft has been another question mark for Green Bay. He is coming off of a torn ACL suffered last season. Thankfully, he is not expected to miss the first half of the season.

Most expectations for Kraft have him playing in Week 1 against the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings.

According to a new update shared by team insider Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Kraft is running well and his status for Week 1 seems to be all good news.

“Kraft, who was arguably playing like the league’s best at the position when he tore his ACL in Week 9, has looked swift while rehabbing on the side of practice this offseason,” Schneidman wrote. “He said he recently hit 21.5 miles per hour on foot and, even if he starts training camp on the PUP list, should be full go by the time the Packers visit the Vikings to open the season.”

Prior to his injury during the 2025 season, Kraft was on pace for a career year. He was playing at the level of a top-five tight end in the NFL.

In the eight games he was able to play, the 25-year-old tight end caught 32 passes for 489 yards and six touchdowns. Those numbers came after he recorded 50 catches for 707 yards and seven scores in 2024.

Kraft and Green Bay have also reportedly been working on a potential contract extension.

Jordan Love is primed for another big-time season. For that to happen, he is going to need a healthy version of Kraft on the field. This is good news for his outlook in 2026 as well.

Parsons did not open up camp on the PUP list, but it's just a formality. As noted by NFL insider Mike Garafolo, he will be placed on the list and will be held out as expected.

Other players of note dealing with injuries are offensive lineman Aaron Banks, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, defensive back Kamal Hadden, and tight end Luke Musgrave. All four of those players are also expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Vikings barring any kind of setback.

Expect to hear more about Kraft and the rest of the players dealing with injuries in the coming days. Outside of Parsons, the Packers seem to be in a good place on the injury front.
