Tucker Kraft was not happy after the Green Bay Packers lost to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1.
The last time the Green Bay Packers played a meaningful game, they blew a 21-3 lead to the Chicago Bears in the wild card round of the 2025 playoffs.
All offseason, the Packers players and coaches talked about learning from that game and making sure it didn't happen again.
It turns out that talk was cheap, as Green Bay blew a 22-10 lead against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 of the 2026 season and lost by a final score of 39-22.
The Packers were outscored 22-0 in the fourth quarter. Tucker Kraft, playing in his first game since tearing his ACL and signing a new contract, knows the offense has to be better.
"We need to get going as an offense," Kraft said. "I feel the pressure. This team needs us to rise to the occasion, and we're going to go out there and play some good football."
Kraft had three catches for 65 yards against the Vikings. The Packers signed the talented TE to a four-year, $75 million extension.
"Something I've always dreamed of, especially these last few years, is being a part of this organization for the long term," Kraft said. "I'm looking forward to winning some games now."
The Packers haven't won a game since December 7, 2025. Tension is high in the organization right now after another choke job.
However, everyone is happy to have Kraft back.
"You know what you're going to get from Tuck," quarterback Jordan Love said. "He wants to be out there; he wants to earn everything he does. Coming off the injury he had last year, he's missed so much time where he's hungry to be back out there and get rolling and start making plays now."
"Tuck's what we want to be about," head coach Matt LaFleur said. "He shows up every day and puts his 100% into this thing. He does a great job. He's obviously earned the respect from his teammates, being voted a captain, and he does things the right way. I love the style of play which he presents out on the field. You can't have enough guys like Tucker Kraft."
The Packers face the New York Jets in Week 2.
Kraft enters that game with 116 catches for 1,616 yards and 15 touchdowns with Green Bay.
