The Carolina Panthers have ruled out rookie Monroe Freeling for Sunday's game in Philadelphia.

The Carolina Panthers are officially back from their bye week, sitting at 2-2 and atop the NFC South. The last time we saw the Panthers in action was on Sunday Night Football when they made a statement in their big win over the Detroit Lions.

As the Panthers get ready for another NFC showdown on Sunday, they are in Philadelphia to take on an Eagles team that is going in the wrong direction. The Eagles are coming off a tough loss overseas in London, falling to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the final seconds.

To make things worse, quarterback Jalen Hurts is now on injured reserve as he's dealing with blood clots. Still, the Eagles are no pushover and it could be a tough road game, so it will be key for the Panthers to be on their A game.

With just over an hour until kickoff, the Panthers have released their inactives for the game and a familiar face is likely returning. Offensive tackle Taylor Moton is expected to make his return and start today, officially being active.

Philadelphia is also without Hurts as was stated earlier in this article. Backup Tanner McKee will get the start for the Eagles on Sunday. McKee has played six career games in the NFL since being drafted in 2023, throwing for 597 yards, five touchdowns and just one interception. He's completed 61.4 percent of his attempts and has a record of 1-1 in two starts.

The Eagles and Panthers are set to kickoff at 1 p.m. on Sunday in an important NFC game for both teams.
