The Carolina Panthers rallied but it wasn't enough as they fell short to the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.

After seeing their two-game win streak end last week, the Carolina Panthers are now on a two-game losing streak. Despite scoring first on Thursday night, Carolina's trip to Green Bay ended in a 27-19 loss at the hands of the Packers, dropping the Panthers to 3-4 overall.

The Panthers struggled in this one, and going into this game they were without their top defensive backs and some key offensive linemen. That appeared to be the difference in this game.

Green Bay sacked quarterback Bryce Young six times in the game as the protection broke down way too much. Young had no time to throw and couldn't buy time to hit open receivers as the Panthers struggled to move the ball.

On the other side, Carolina's secondary allowed 288 yards and three touchdowns to quarterback Jordan Love who finished with a passer rating of 106.6 in the game. Love completed 30 of his 41 attempts with Christian Watson having eight for 113 and Matthew Golden having seven for 79.

Things got off to a good start for the Panthers as they forced a fumble on the opening kickoff. However, they couldn't find the end zone and instead had to settle for a field goal.

They even got the ball back after forcing a punt but did nothing with it.

Green Bay found the end zone as Love hit Tucker Kraft for a 12-yard touchdown to go up 7-3 in the first quarter. After Chuba Hubbard scored on the first play of the second quarter, it was 10-7 Panthers.

That's where the Panthers' struggles started.

The Packers got a one-yard touchdown run from Josh Jacobs and then on their next drive, Golden caught a 24-yard touchdown from Love as Green Bay took a 20-10 lead at halftime. While the Panthers got the ball to start the second half, their struggles continued.

Green Bay extended the lead with a Jacobs four-yard pass from Love to go up 27-10. And that's where Carolina started to find a bit of a groove.

A Ryan Fitzgerald 50-yard field goal and then an interception allowed the Panthers to crawl back into the game. Jalen Coker then had a touchdown from Young on fourth down, cutting the lead to 27-19. But when Carolina had a chance to tie it, their offensive line failed once again as they ran out of chances.

The Panthers fall to 3-4 and now will look to bounce back as they host the Denver Broncos in Week 9 at home. Carolina's lead in the NFC South could be gone depending on what Atlanta does this weekend, hosting the Bengals.
