Here's everything you need to know about Carolina Panthers' quarterback Bryce Young and his week two performance against the Arizona Cardinals.

After a rough start to the 2025 NFL season in week one, Carolina Panthers' quarterback Bryce Young may have regained his footing against the Arizona Cardinals.

Despite the fact that head coach Dave Canales and his squad were unable to complete the comeback late in the contest, Young still managed to complete 35 of his 55 pass attempts for 328 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception. His performance on Sunday was huge for the struggling offense, as the run game manufactured just 49 yards on the ground.

However, his impressive play came with a few bumps in the road after his first two drives of the matchup resulted into turnovers (fumble on the first drive, interception on the second drive). These two costly turnovers gave the Cardinals a early 10-0 lead, which put the offense in a hole to begin the game.

Luckily, Young was able to brush off the turnovers and started to get into a rhythm on offense. Even with a poor offensive line showing, Young still remained strong within the pocket, which led to multiple huge completions throughout the contest.

Young was consistently rewarded for his good pocket presence on Sunday, as he was able create something out of nothing while facing heavy pressure.

Unfortunately for the offense, they were unable to find the end zone until the second half, causing the Panthers to trail Arizona 27-3 with nine minutes left in the third quarter. The massive deficient allowed for the Cardinals defense to play soft-zone coverage in the final two quarters, which took away Young's chances of making a big-time thrown downfield.

Instead of trying to force the ball deep, Young did an excellent job of taking what the defense gave him and focused on moving the chains with short chunk plays. Eventually, this led to a few opportunities for Young to make a few completions that resulted in 20 or more yards gained in the fourth quarter.

Young was able to find wide receiver Hunter Renfrow for his third touchdown of the game with two minutes left in the fourth quarter. And despite the Panthers recovering the onside kick, the offense was unable to march downfield on the final drive to take the lead.

    Final Grade: B

If we were to ignore the first two drives of the game for the Panthers' offense, Young's performance would have easily been an A-tier game for the 24-year-old. But both turnovers paved the way to an early 10-0 lead, which put the offense in a tough position for the remainder of the contest.

Young did a terrific job of showcasing his ability to handle an offense that was forced into relying heavily on the passing game. Even with the struggles up front, the former Alabama Crimson Tide standout demonstrated good pocket presence, while also making multiple high-level throws with anticipation to keep his team within striking distance.
