"Warriorrrrrsssss, come out to play!!!"

Mack Hollins returned to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game, and upon his arrival, he revealed a chant that many movie lovers admire.

"Warriors, come out to play!" Hollins said while walking into Empower Field barefoot with three glass bottles dangling from his fingers.

The chant comes from the 1979 cult film, The Warriors, which follows a gang that must escape from the Bronx and return to their home in Coney Island after being framed for the murder of a highly respected gang leader.

Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel stood up at the podium and addressed the media in his Friday afternoon press conference. He was asked about the chant's origin and how it is now connected to the team.

It turns out the "WARIRIORRSSSS" chant dates back to the Week 2 win in Miami Gardens against the Miami Dolphins, which was their first win of the season and their first of a total of 9 road wins throughout the regular and postseason.

"When we started this thing in Miami, I ran out of WWF clips to show them about the Road Warriors," Vrabel told the media. "So, I showed them a clip from The Warriors … I didn't think it would stick, but it did.”

Vrabel's efforts to keep his team motivated paid off, especially on the road this season. Even after the AFC Championship was in the team's grasp and Vrabel was on stage accepting the Lamar Hunt Trophy, Vrabel revealed he was in on it all when he chanted "Warriorsssss" back to the team below.

The team as a whole thrived on the road, but it was quarterback Drake Maye who was virtually unstoppable in away games in 2025. Maye completed 72.1% of his passes for 2,186 yards and 17 touchdowns and only three interceptions.

Now that Super Bowl LX is on the horizon, as the Warriors' chant for the Patriots has gained traction, the question is poised: can the road warriors come out to play one more time? Because if they can on their trip to Santa Clara, California, then they'll be world champions.
