Patriots now look ahead to an interconference matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Here's who's looking good and who needs some work going into that game.
Sunday's late-afternoon game for the New England Patriots was a tale of two halves. The team was flat in the first half, allowing the Miami Dolphins to take a 13-3 lead at halftime.
The Patriots offense then got on a hot streak, with the scoreboard moving to 21-6 in favor of the Patriots and a final of 24-19. Many players rose to the occasion for New England, as if they remembered who they were. Others are going to need a good week at practice this week.
The reason is that the Green Bay Packers are coming to town. They have seemingly found their stride in a highly competitive NFC North, but Tom Brady will be in the booth calling the game on Fox Sports on Sunday. The last thing you want is to play a bad second straight week of football in a Patriots jersey while Brady looks down from the broadcast booth.
Here's this week's stock watch after Sunday's win over the Dolphins.
Stock Up
DeMario Douglas
Rich Storry-Imagn ImagesWith Romeo Doubs, Mack Hollins, and A.J. Brown all out for Sunday's game, DeMario Douglas stepped in as the temporary WR1 suitor. Douglas only went 3-for-3 for 76 yards. 48 yards of that total was a touchdown pass from Drake Maye.
The touchdown, however, was a turning point in the game that pushed the Patriots ahead by two scores, making it 24-13.
Douglas is a reliable target for Maye, as he was last year and still is this year. Depending on injuries to wide receivers going into Sunday's game against the Packers, he may need to continue to be key and even have a better performance than he did against the Dolphins.
Rhamondre Stevenson
Rich Storry-Imagn ImagesThe unsung hero of the Patriots offense on Sunday was running back Rhamondre Stevenson, with 19 carries for 82 yards. Not flashy at all, but if you break down what those carries were used for, you'll see just how key he was.
Stevenon was key on 2nd and mid to set up short-yardage 3rd-down situations for Maye, and with injuries in the passing game, the Patriots needed a strong running game to keep the clock and chains moving.
The Patriots' RB1 also recovered the Dolphins' late-game onside kick and scored a five-yard rush that sealed the win with two minutes to go.
Drake Maye

Well, well, well, look who's back in the Stock Up category. Truthfully, since Week 4, Drake Maye has not necessarily left the category, but room needed to be made for other players. That being said, this game was a statement game for Maye.
Maye threw for just under 200 yards (199) and had three flawless drives to put the Patriots back into the game after a sluggish first half. Maye's composure under pressure and in the pocket mimicked a lot of what we saw last season when things got tough. A little over a month ago, that may not have been the case.
His 40+ yard touchdown pass to Kyle Williams was his 6th deep-throw TD of the season, which ties for most in the NFL. Maye also brought back his ability to fake out defenses with his two-yard fake option play, which got him into the end zone and put the Patriots offense over the hump with a second-half lead.
Stock Down
Andy Borregales
Ken Blaze-Imagn ImagesKicker Andy Borregales is 10/13 in field goals this season. It doesn't show on the season stat sheet, but he went 2/5 in a preseason game against the Colts, which raised some early warning signs.
Against the Dolphins, in Hard Rock Stadium, where Borregales played his college football. Borregales missed a 40-yard field goal in the first half after a drive in which the Patriots converted a fourth-down attempt.
Head coach Mike Vrabel has been vocal about his concerns with Borregales, but no word has come out about bringing in another kicker for a tryout. That being said, Borregales ranks in the bottom third of NFL kickers right now.
Eli Raridon
Eric Canha-Imagn ImagesEli Raridon was another positive note in the loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 7. However, he struggled against a much inferior defense in Week 8 against the Miami Dolphins.
Raridon had one catch on four targets for only five yards in Week 8. He was on the field most of the day, logging a 93% snap share, but was mainly used as a decoy after Hunter Henry went down.
Maye mainly looked to his wide receivers in the second half, but if Raridon is going to be more key in this offense more consistently, he'll have to focus on pre-snap miscues moving forward.
Efton Chism III
Rich Storry-Imagn ImagesIt doesn't get much more reliable than Efton Chism III for the Patriots. In the Patriots' last divisional road game, he made a "Catch of the Year" play when he scored the game-deciding catch over the Buffalo Bills.
In South Florida, Chism got hit by Jacob Rodriguez on a four-yard play and fumbled the ball, and the Dolphins recovered. It was one of the key plays that put the Dolphins in a stride in the first half.
Chism is still a low man on the totem pole in the wide receiver room, and his production has moved up a few notches due to injuries in that area of the roster. So with Mack Hollins potentially returning this week and A.J. Brown maybe returning as well, Chism could get bumped back down a few notches in the coming weeks.
