Two NFL analysts named one four-time Pro Bowl quarterback as a perfect fit in NFL free agency for the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Las Vegas Raiders got very busy during free agency this time around.

Day 1 was full of agreements, with the big one being Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum.

Then, out of nowhere, the Baltimore Ravens backed out of the Maxx Crosby blockbuster trade, only for the Ravens to go sign Trey Hendrickson the next day.

The Raiders still signed all of the free agents they had planned on signing, so that's the good news, and Crosby is back in Las Vegas in a bizarre twist.

As NFL free agency slows down, the Raiders have also slowed down considerably, although they have plenty of notable moves.

One name that was linked to the Raiders is veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, who was released by the Atlanta Falcons. Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the Raiders were expected to show interest in Cousins, and the veteran could be a solid option as No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza figures out the transition to the NFL.

Tyler Dragon of USA Today had some of the best fits for free agency, and he had Cousins to the Raiders.

Nick Shook of NFL.com also named Cousins and the Raiders as the best fit, and Shook went on to give a Cousins comparison for Mendoza.

"Of all currently active NFL quarterbacks, I can't possibly think of a better comparison for Mendoza than Cousins," Shook wrote. "He'd supply Mendoza with a wise teammate and proper mentor who can help him navigate the rigors of the NFL."

The other caveat is that Cousins could be a capable Week 1 starter for the Raiders, especially if they want to slow-play Mendoza and not throw him into the fire right away.

Cousins has made the Pro Bowl four times in his career, and he showed some hope after replacing Michael Penix Jr. at the end of the season in Atlanta.

Cousins wants to start, but as it stands, the only remaining job seems to be the Pittsburgh Steelers, and all signs point to Aaron Rodgers riding out one more year, especially with former Packers coach Mike McCarthy now in Pittsburgh.

The good news is that Cousins will be cheap, the Raiders could feel comfortable starting him, and new head coach Klint Kubiak knows Cousins from their time together with the Minnesota Vikings.

This move seems like an obvious fit, and perhaps the only thing preventing it is the opportunity for Cousins to be the starting QB for the Steelers if Rodgers ends up retiring.
