The Las Vegas Raiders have been named an ideal trade partner with Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown drawing interest.

The Las Vegas Raiders are certainly going to select Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

After that, nobody knows what the Raiders do, and right now, Maxx Crosby is still on the team after a failed trade with the Baltimore Ravens.

With the 2026 NFL Draft looming, the Philadelphia Eagles might still trade away superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown.

And, the Raiders make sense, to some degree, in terms of a trade partner for the Eagles.

Matt Okada of NFL.com named six fits for an Eagles-A.J. Brown trade, and he had the Raiders on the list.

Here was the proposed trade from Okada.

Raiders receive:

  • WR A.J. Brown
  • 2026 1st-round pick (No. 23)

Eagles receive:

  • Edge Maxx Crosby
  • 2026 3rd-round pick (No. 67)

There it is, and in this scenario, the Raiders land not just Brown, but also another first-round pick while moving on from Crosby once and for all.

Sure, Crosby seems ready to play for Las Vegas, but moving his contract and bringing in Brown's deal would make sense for both sides of the equation here.

"Crosby's trade value is a bit higher than Brown's, but Howie Roseman adding in a little extra pick compensation could turn this potential deal into one of the more mutually beneficial blockbusters in recent history," Okada wrote.

With Mendoza set to be the QB1, and Kirk Cousins looking to be the starter until Mendoza is ready, adding Brown to the offense would give the Raiders a star wide receiver on the offense alongside young tight end Brock Bowers.

The Eagles need an edge rusher, and given their Super Bowl window, Crosby would likely be thrilled to join a contending team who is just one calendar removed from a Super Bowl victory.

The big question here is Brown's fit with the team from a character standpoint. He had issues with the Eagles last season, but maybe a change of scenery will do well for the talented wide receiver.

The New England Patriots have long been named as an ideal fit for Brown, and they should remain in that conversation until Brown is traded.

If the Raiders do make such a deal, they get Brown and an extra first-round pick, and they move on from the Crosby contract, so this could end up being a win-win for both teams involved in this trade, depending on the compensation.
