Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett was brutally honest on his debut with the team.

The Los Angeles Rams seemed to be a bit off during their matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, as both the offense and defense failed to get much going throughout the entire game.

One major shock was the lackluster performance of Myles Garrett. Garrett ended the night with no tackles and no sacks, and it looked like his knee injury had impacted him more than he thought it would. Following the game, he gave a brutal assessment of his Rams debut.

The lopsided 27-7 loss was not on the shoulders of Garrett, but his lack of production was something that many didn't think would be the case.

Oftentimes it looked as though the Rams defender was also struggling with staying on the field, as he was subbed out on many occasions. It could be the knee injury that impacted his training camp, as he is not quite at 100 percent, leading to his not being able to be as prominent as he always is in the pass rush.

Following the game, Garrett offered some brutal honestly on his performance, calling it the "worst version" of himself.

"No, no. I mean, this was the worst version of myself that I've put out there. Now, I've got to be better. I got to find a way to recover and get back to the player I know I can be, and I've shown that I've been before," Garrett said.

Garrett initially admitted that the knee injury he was dealing with led to his not playing at 100 percent, but that was already known.

Since the Rams brought Garrett in at the start of June, he has been dealing with a knee injury that led to soreness and swelling, which led to his missing a great deal of practice. However, he was a full participant throughout the week leading up to the 49ers matchup.

Whether or not this was his call or head coach Sean McVay's, it appears that Garrett was nowhere near ready to be back on the field.

The Rams were already down Aaron Donald, who was also not ready to travel to Australia and be ready to play in Week 1. McVay ruled him out just days before the matchup.

Garrett should have been in that same boat. Granted, the Rams want him on the field as much as he can be, but not to the detriment of making his knee injury worse. Clearly, the knee injury impacted him in a significant way.

Now, the Rams will need to rest up and look toward Week 2, when they face the New York Giants on Monday, Sep. 21. At that point, they might also have Donald back on the field to couple with a much healthier Garreett.
